I’m a cyclist and avid crime reader. This book was mentioned in the free magazine ‘Whitstable Whistler’ when I was visiting, so was an easy purchase. And what a treat it turned out to be. My favourite read of the last twelve months. Great characters, evocative scenery, twists, turns and gentle jokes overlaid with contemporary social commentary. I look forward to reading SR Condor’s next novel.

I really enjoyed this book. I loved the well-imagined characters with all their quirks and foibles. The author writes about the odd behaviours that we all do, but try to hide! He wrapped it all up beautifully in a humorous tale of intrigue and investigation. Very readable

Clever and entertaining read

Read this with a permanent smile on my face. Enjoyed the characters and the contemporary cultural references tremendously. It’s one of those books where you think “I’ll just read one more chapter” and you’re still there an hour later. A real treat.
